the thread you mean? Pretty sure it's not possible to limit the number of posts needed to read a single thread.
if it was possible, I would support this idea....but then you should always think twice before posting your pic in that thread, right? you should know the risks...
guests won't be able to see it...but all members can...

I would support this idea if it were possible, however I am 99% sure it is not possible. If you feel uncomfortable with every member being able to view your picture in the album, then just create a normal album on your profile and limit it to friends only, that way (in a sense) you approve of the people who view your album.
If you wish to know how to do this, go to userCP-->Profile Privacy-->Albums-->Select Friends Only, you can do the same with your profile picture as well.
Like I said, I would support this option if it were possible but again I am almost 100% sure it is not possible.

yeah. someone from my school joined and totally knew who i was. we must always remember that this is a totally public forum, and while "the white padded room" may be hidden to guests, it just takes a few clicks to register, and it could be your parents or your friends.

Exactly. There's a reason a good amount of people on here have different names then in real life, and don't post pictures. If you aren't afraid your family or friends are going to register/search and find you, then go ahead and post it.
The majority of people who join just to troll end up getting banned very quickly. We are very tight on security when it comes down to it.

Like they're gonna want to browse Virtual Teen.
I can't imagine anyone I know joining or using this site. They'd probably find the stuff here really weird. If they found me it wouldn't be that big a deal to me though.

I found my dad snooping on me when I was a member at GovTeen. (Not necessarily to the point of making an account, but still.)
Anyways, you can just limit your privacy settings here (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/profile.php?do=privacy) so that only your friends on VT can see, though! I don't think it would be fair to limit a harmless feature to people with a lower post count what they can see or not.

Back on topic, if you don't want potential pervy members ogling the photos you put in the photo album thread, then all you have to do is think twice before posting in there. It's really not possible or fair to limit a thread to people above a certain post count.

(To add on to this)
And also think about what you post there. If that picture of you in your very minimalistic-but-still-within-the-rules swimsuit looks good, don't be surprised if you get the "man i want to do stuff with you" response from a sketchy member.

The only reason I'm responding is because I know that both of these things are very very possible. I had a best friend here and was helping her with her self harm around this time last year. Pretty soon, her parents found her history and read every single post and privatized her account and deactivated her email. I still personal message her crying because that's how much I miss her. Just be aware that some do watch the account.
Around April of this year, a friend of mine joined and I had some issues with him being on this website. So what i did was we managed to block each other, and even though he left the site, I still am so scared that someone is gonna come on here. It's too late to delete all the info that I don't want people to see, so if someone joins I'm screwed.
What I want to get across is just that parents and friends will find their way on here.
But back on topic, I totally agree with Thomas. The ONE shirtless picture I posted (for showing my sunburn) I had some strange person asking to trade "pictures" with me. So, yeah. Be careful what you put on here.
