View Full Version : Bum knee?

So the last few days I've been trying to baby my knee a little bit because it's been really sore and almost feels like it's going to pop out of place at times. I don't know if that's just me being nervous about the strange feeling or if it's an actual problem. I'm uninsured at the moment and I'm not really wanting to go to the doctor and pay a fortune if I don't need to - so I thought "hm, why not ask vt!" Does anybody have (or has had in the past) anything similar to this feeling? If so, did you go to the doctor and what did he/she say? I'm sure my knee isn't going to pop out of place; but that's the best way I can describe the strange, pressure-like feeling that is around the knee cap.

EDIT: I should add that it is not chronic, otherwise I would have gone to see a doctor already. It comes and goes as it pleases it seems.

Do feel this in your knee when you walk/run or just randomly while you're sitting?

It's usually when I stand up and start walking

I sometimes have the same feeling, but only after walking a fight of stairs or cycling for a while (any activity that involves bending my knee a lot). It hasn't become worse or anything though, and it's been there for as long as I can remember. So I'm not worried.

But yours happens just by standing up and walking. You haven't had any cartilage injury or trauma have you? If it becomes more frequent or worse in discomfort then maybe make an appointment.....Otherwise I wouldn't worry.
