Premature Judgement

Why do people ultimatically assume that Christians are either intolerant or judgemental? There are many Christians out there that listen to what Jesus says when He tells us to not judge unless we want to be judged just the same.

Not everyone does assume this. Most people do though, however, and that is most likely because it is the "mainstream" way of thinking. It doesn't make it correct, but usually, the people who think that don't change.

People assume Christians are intolerant and judgemental because many of them are. There are many Christians who are very nice people, but others who aren't. It is wrong to lump all Christians into one group but many people do. Unfortunately, the most hateful Christians are also some of the most vocal. Most Christians are quite nice people, but the few intolerant ones give all Christians a bad reputation.

Not everyone thinks this, and not all Christians are. I have yet to meet a Christian though that hasn't tried their very hardest try to convert me. Even my friends have tried. There's always one bad egg that gives the group a bad rap.
