How to measure my penis?

hey there, when im measuring my dick im doing it like that:
im putting the measure tape at the base of my dick (where it connects to my body) and measure it all the way till the top of my penis's head.
im not pressing pressure on the base of my dick because im kinda thin
and i dont have bodyfat (im 13 yo, 1.54 meters, 53-54 kilos)
but any way, when im measuring my dick, i need to press the base of my penis?
cus when it comes to sex u cant press the base while your gf is trying to jack it off (not that ill have sex nearby)

I think it states not to push the measuring device into your body. So I would assume you don't need too.
