I think I spelled it right... I was diagnosed recently... We gotta see what to do about it, therapy, meds, both. But I dont know I feel even worse than before and like its getting worse knowing I DO have it. Everything around me today, yesterday and when ever is just adding to it! I cant stand it!
Im gonna add to this.... ridiculous amount of self hate.

Hey, sorry about this. But remember, getting the diagnosis doesn't make it any more real than it was before. All it does is give you more of a chance at recovery

I was diagnosed too a year and a half or so ago. Don't let a diagnosis make you feel worse, nothings changed except now you know what's wrong. I was shoved in counselling and they tried to give me medication. None of that really helped and really took a lot of work on my part to get better and overcome it.
Absolutely nothing has changed here, so you have depression you also had it before you got diagnosed it hasn't got worse nor will it get worse just because it now has a name. You can get better now instead.

You should remember that having depression doesn't change who you are As a person, you are still you underneath the sadness. I know how you feel, but this won't rule your life forever. You will get better, you just have to go over this rough patch and accept that you need help and slowly become on the road to recovery. I hope everything works out alright for you, don't lose who you are as a person:)
