Scientology is a ''religion'' that was created by L. Ron Hubbard. It teaches that humans are immortal beings who have forgotten that we are immortal.
Do I support it? No. But I don't have a problem with it existing. I don't wanna get anywhere near it, though. It's a shady organization.

Exactly. Hubbard preached that people can control their mental and material realities through the spiritual knowledge that is found in the religion that is Scientology. Basically, they believe humans have all the resources to rehabilitate, and thrive inside of themselves. Their "creation" story of how the world, as we know it, came to be is just bizarre. Scientologist believe there was a galactic ruler that brought humans to Earth and stacked them by volcanoes only to blow them up and the remnants of those humans evolved into the humans we see today. I'm all for being open-minded, and I'm not in any way, shape or form trying to poke fun at someone's beliefs....but, what? :what: Anyways, that's the basically what Scientology is. I don't care what anyone believes, but I don't think I could ever be apart of that religion.

They're a dangerous sect whose primary goal is to brainwash people to grab as much money as they can.
Just because they claim they are a cult like any other doesn't mean it is true. Don't be fooled - they are sneaky. Stay away at all costs.

It wasn't meant to be taken seriously
It is widely believed that the creation of Scientology was the result of a bar bet between L. Ron Hubbard and Robert A. Heinlein. The story says L. Ron Hubbard dared that he could create a religion all by himself. According to Scientology critic Lindsay this is "definitely not true", no such bet was ever made, it would have been "uncharacteristic of Heinlein" to make such a bet, and "there's no supporting evidence". However, several of Heinlein's autobiographical pieces, as well as biographical pieces written by his wife, claim repeatedly that the bet did indeed occur.

There's a movie coming out soon called "The Master" about a guy who starts a religion just like that Scientology dude did. Supposed to be a good one.

Scientology is definitely a rather unique faith/religion. I went to the scientology site, and everything seemed really confusing. But no doubt they have major celebrity influence, including Tom Cruise, Jada Pinket Smith, and Will Smith.

The church of Scientology isn't really that nice to its members. They make them cut all ties with non members, get them to donate huge amounts of money to the church and make it difficult to leave. I don't think this is right in any way.
I have a problem with the beliefs themselves as well. They believe things that are even more bizarre than mainstream religious beliefs. I am content, however, to let people have their beliefs as long as they don't do any harm. My main problem with the church of Scientology is their treatment of people.
