shaving and razor burn-guys and girls

Ok. So I've been shaving my nuts and trimming my bush for a while. I did it again yesterday, and got a wicked hot razor burn. No rash, and everything is really smooth. But I had to go commando for two days cuz it burned so bad.
Anybody else? Guys or girls have this happen?
