I don't think it's wise. You can pick up some STDs if it's not cleaned, and if it's not cleaned that just gross. Dirt, germs, hair and whatever from wherever it's put down could harm you. I'd use my own but it's probably nothing to worry about if you and your gf are absolutely clean.

Its wise as long as you are careful. I have used a friend's dildo ONCE and I made sure it was properly cleaned before then and I'm fine. But if you don't clean it you could catch something.
