I've lost my appetite, I only eat when I have to (so no one asks questions), I'm never hungry, everything tastes so dull and not nice. I have to force myself to eat. Even little things like sandwiches. I'm just so tired of food. So bored by it. I used to love it... Now... I hate it.

Don't even know what to do about it anymore.

I know I have a food problem, but how to sort it is another thing.

Well this a serious problem.I suggest you o consult with your Dr. he will guide you in right way.
One thing good for appetite which is green tea.It increases your body metabolism.Due to this you feel appetite.

You really should see a doctor. It may be more neurological than psychological, and hopefully you can get this thing fixed up :)

I hate doctors though, I try and avoid them as much as possible, which is why I've not gone to see them about my possible depression. Last time I went was when my parents had found out that I'd been cutting and the doctor was just like "and what shall I do about it", well that's the feeling that I got from him anyway... So I just avoid them as much as possible.

I've experienced the same thing as you, food just got, boring, for me. Maybe it's just stress interfering with your daily life, or there's something that's preoccupying your mind. Its very good you are eating, maybe try flavoring your food with different tastes. Then it may seem more appealing. Try new things.

Could be stress, I've always got something on my mind and always stressing, surprised I've not started going grey to be honest. I generally don't have time to try new things, not when it comes down to food. I very rarely eat anything other than a sandwich, and a packet of crisps/chocolate bar, you know the quick "grab and go" food. I'm so busy that I don't have time to sit down and eat. During the week on most nights I don't get home until about 10 - and then it's too late to be cooking something and eating it.

Food is just too... I don't know, if it was possible to live without it, I would.

Try new kinds of food! I'm guessing your pallet uses the same base flavours so that is probably why you are getting bored. Try to make new recipes that are much different from the ones you are used to. You aren't hungry so that probably means that you are getting enough nutrients, which is good. Try new types of food and see how that works. You can also try and make food "fun" to eat. Have all appetizers for dinner one night, or become a sandwich artist and try and make sandwiches shaped like animals or objects. It may seem "too young" but here are some fun things to try.

I always do stuff like this with my food and it does make it more enjoyable to eat. Finally don't forget that a big part of the flavour of food is based on the environment. Try and eat at the same times everyday and do you're best to eat sitting down, with family or friends is best.

One, look at the reply I've just wrote, it covers the first bit of what you said.

You said "You aren't hungry so that probably means that you are getting enough nutrients, which is good" I doubt it, the most I eat are ready made sandwiches, ready meals, or chicken from the hot deli counter. Not exactly the best kind of food for nutrients and stuff.

Making sandwiches into "animals" - I don't have time for, neither do I have time to sit and eat meals with family/friends.

I'm just screwed either way.

I can't afford to get healthier foods. I want to because I love my fruits and salads and stuff like that but I can't afford it, or have the time to sit and prepare them.

talk to your doctor... and a weird piece of advise but spice up your food, make it interesting.

This is strange..but I can completely relate to you.

I eat truthfully only when I am actually hungry, and no other times. It's like can suppress my hunger or something. What's worse is that my folks constantly nag me to eat more even though I don't really want to whether its meat, fruit, dessert, or vegetables.

But in some ways my situation is different from yours..its not like I hate eating certain things or like eating them.. its just appealing to me and I eat only when I absolutely have to eat in order to survive.

At any rate, sorry if my post doesn't offer any advice, I just find it interesting that's all ;]
