I can only offer my shitty suggestions, but it's the best that I can offer, so I'm sorry if this doesn't help. Of course they could either see you've fallen on hard times, and give you a chance, or they could be horrible people and not give a shit. You could try your absolute hardest, show determination, and prove to them that you are the correct choice for the job, regardless of the cuts on your arm.
At a point (which I haven't reached yet, but a girl I used to date had), you just don't care who sees them or what they think of it. People will look, and they will stare, but who are they to judge you? Like, really? They haven't been what you've been through.
Again, I'm sorry if this isn't useful in the slightest, but I tried. Good luck!

Wear bracelets to distract it, or wrist bands.

To be honest, chances are I don't think many of them will notice enough to care. There is always a chances someone will ask but to be honest most people might just think you were in an accident. I don't think many shall jump the conclusion "that person must be self harming" I think they will, if anything, just ask you how you got them. Which in return you do not need to tell them the truth.

Like you said, you will wear some makeup and some jewellery and that will hide up some of it. However, people won't think or most won't automatically jump to the conclusion that you self harm.

I know it can be scary but, you just need to relax and see what happens as there is a high chance you are getting worked up over something that may never come.

Can't really ass anything extra to what's been said but, I read somewhere (might've been on here) that the employer isn't legally allowed to stop you having the job because of the cuts, as its seen as discrimination.

I could be wrong though...
