Now Im just curious but are 1995 and 1996 Mustangs with the V6 and standard trans a good car? I know they can be crappy in snow... but like performance, how well they hold up, etc.

Ford in the 90's was pretty bad reliability wise... not to mention their V6 made less power than some car's V4s... Mileage won't be tremendous either. I love me a Mustang but the 80's and 90's were not good decades

There was never such thing as a V4.... They have strait and boxer 4s.... and I dont know how a 4 cylinder can crank out over 140 HP stock. I checked the mileage its a little over 20 MPG and Im not some crazy 30 MPG - Hybrid car driving hippie. I like horsepower and torque! But Ill agree from the mid 70s to 1993... Mustangs were the most ugly thing ever! *Edit* There is such thing as V4 but it was from Ford back in the 50s... They made it in one car. So other than that... No V4s...

:O. My parents own a 91 red 5.0 gt.. That thing is a beast. Sounds great.. Needs a new paint job other than that, it's so damn awesome. It cranks out 300+ hp. Basically stock.
And SuperSuraj, come on dude. If you're going to post on a car thread, you gotta know that there was never a v4. Inline 4's yes. v4... no. lol.

I'm not offended lol, But trust me on this one.. This 91 in particular is a beast. It sounds like one too. It doesn't sound like your average car. Whenever I get to drive it around I sorta mess around. And, in fact when I do that, I rev it up quite nicely, and all sorts of people's head turn. It's so fun! haha.
Eventually when my parents get enough money to fix it up the rest of the way, and we can drive it whenever we want, I'll post a video of it on youtube for you.

Sorry sorry, It was an inline turbocharged 4. But I still wouldn't own one... I think there we're plenty other 90's cars packed with more than enough horsepower and torque, while being better quality than a Mustang.
Btw, I'm curious.. How does a 95' GT produce 300+ hp, nearly stock? Describe nearly stock.. that would be an upgrade of 75hp from the stock 225 the 91 5.0 came with from the factory.. Not even the 94-95 Cobra had 300+ hp.. that came with 240 from the factory... I'm pretty sure the Cobra R was the only mustang that came with 300 hp stock and that was in 95...

I'm not really a fan of mustangs (don't hate them or anything, just don't really like them unless it's 1960-70) but to me I see no point to a V6 mustang, the point of a mustang is to be a muscle car and the V6's take the muscle out of that. Also the 90's mustangs aren't exactly known for looks or great reliability.
