Okay, this is why I think an AJAX chat would be beneficial:
1.It's really, really quick
2. It reduces the number of dependencies for your users to have
3. It's efficient on the disk space
4. it's more ergonomic, and can adapt to it's surrounding, so that the chat actually looks like a part of the site
5. As the current doesn't run in my browser, it likely fails in others as well
6. I feel like Java really just isn't the best tool for the job.
I am running openSUSE with Firefox. I have installed Flash and java.
I have installed the AJAX chat on my board before, it works like gold.
Please don't take any offense, I simply want to help the site along, as I can relate on having unfound issues due to users' discretion.
