Ok, Im 17, and Ive had this problem for awhile.

Under my left arm, and on the left side of my face, there is alot less hair than the right. My legs and arms have the same amount of hair, as well as groin, but just my underarm and face are seriously imbalanced. (Pictures upon request)

Does anyone know the cause of this?

Cheers.

puberty can cause things to change in different ways at different times. for example, sometimes a girls breasts may grow slightly unevenly but end up pretty much the same at the end of puberty. i suspect it will be the same for you.

It's no big deal. Once you are finished with puberty it will probably balance more out because when you are in puberty you're still growing and your body isn't fully proportional yet.

Plus, not everybody is going to have fully even hair anyway.

Yeah, that's completely normal. That just happens sometimes...it'll gradually even out at the end of puberty, or you could just have less hair on one side. No big!
