ODD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, is often confused with symptoms of ADHD or just bad behavior. It is commonly found alongside ADHD and they are identified together. Being oppositional and defiant when faced with any authority, and having no control over it, can cause many, many problems in life. It is as hard to deal with as ADHD, but there is less recognition for it. The same medication as ADHD is used to treat it. I wanted to let people know about it and that it can effect many people. I wanted to bring more awareness to it in general. Thank you. I would love to hear any thoughts anyone has.

Sounds like the bane of a sweatshop. I should get my head checked for this. Either this, or UDD. Do you know what UDD is.

Well there's no need to get haughty about it  He just asked a question. Jeeze. And Yeah, I've heard of Odd. It's not really that common, and it's not widely known, however it does exist. And yes, some rebel teens have been falsely labled with ODD. But just because they choose to hide behind a mental disorder doesn't mean the disorder doesn't exist. ~holli

Actually ODD is pretty common in children but most teens "grow" out of it. I have it so not all teens who have it are rebels.
