Hey, I'm David!

So I just found this place and created this account. I think so far it is a great site, and there are a lot of people like me. Like a lot. Seriously. Anyway I immediately noticed there isn't a gaming section.

Now we all are (hopefully) teens, and gaming is a growing popular past time for us. I was surprised to see it wasn't one of the forums. I'm not too sure if this has been asked for before, and sorry if it has. The Gaming section could have several sub categories such as,

- General gaming discussion
- PC gaming
- Console gaming (Xbox, PS3)
- Handheld
- Call of duty sucks
- Portal 2 is the shit

And blah blah blah stuff like that.
SO YEAH :)

No, we probably don't.

We already have the TJP forum, which is quite something for a site that was intended to be a help site, not a gaming site. If you want gaming sites, you will have to look elsewhere.
If you really wanted to, you can create a social group when you have enough posts, but until then, you will have to enjoy what there is.

This was intended to be a help site? Oh. I didn't really pick that up.
Judging from my experience so far, the title, and the subtitle, on this website, it seems this a place for teens to hang out and, yeah, grow together. This site is meant for teens, right? All I suggest is a gaming forum, I'm sure many would find this great. This doesn't mean it will turn into a gaming website, no not at all. Im simply suggesting a small forum for communications about a massive and popular topic. It would further help in relating with teens and with us communicating with each other. I assume thats one of the main goals here.. A lot of teens are into gaming. The suggestion would only improve the peer to peer relationship on here. Maybe you would pick up some more people too.

I don't really think it's necessary, nor do I think it will improve relationships on here. You've been a member for less than 12 hours, so I don't think you really understand the site all that well and have not been involved in the community here enough to back yourself up on this one regarding the community. Tech Junkies Paradise covers all of that and more - there isn't a need for another section.

Yeah, I haven't been here for long at all, a few days maybe, however it would seem like a sensible decision based on the idea of the website.. teens connecting. Run a poll, and see forrresults in a few weeks. And You are right, I barely know the userbase. Maybe people like me aren't too common on here. I am running my opinion based on teens around me in the real lifes and online. Gaming is just huge. I will get to know the userbase more and post later on the topic.

Let's ask the community. Its what they think that matters. Later, of course. It was too early for me to run my opinion. Let me get to know you people more. I kind of like you people.

EDIT: Yeah, nope. It is really boring here. I'm off! Everyone is so dull and the traffic isn't so large. I also cant relate to too many people. And its also a red flag when the biggest percentage of traffic is drawn to the puberty archives. 200+ people at the moment. You know what I'm saying? I don't know why I stayed for a few days. Sigh. Back to life-draining Reddit. Come join me and have your life consumed into an eternal darkness where your screams of mercy are only a faint whisper to those above. Great stuff.

Well, Tech Junkies Paradise Is the technology/gaming forum. I think it is what you want, but it's about computers in general. I'm kind of agreeing with you, but you really have to move a lot of pieces to create a forum here. We're 57k Users. Maybe a subforum on TJP would do, but I think that with TJP Itself we got enough.

Cheers Guys

Look over this section. This is TJP (Tech Junkies Paradise), I think you'll see that every topic you named fits in here nicely and without any issue. It's been that way for years now and there hasn't been an issue or serious complaint about it. http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=39

Like already said, a whole forum dedicated to gaming is not needed. Tech Junky's Paradise (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=39) has hosted all gaming topics since 2004 (as far as I know), I really don't think that needs to change.

EDIT: Nevermind, looks like its cleared up now.

If you don't like it, why are you still here? And for that matter, if you don't like P101, go to your User CP and hide it, but that really doesn't matter if you aren't going to stay. Door's over there, don't let it hit your ass. I don't want ass marks on the new door.

Deciding whether or not this place is worth it. Some funny and cool people are here, but most are just ehh. I'm trying to find another site other than reddit. I guess I got excited in the moment and was a little ignorant. Mods do not like. Noted. I promise you don't have to worry about my ass marks, I'll make sure just for you all is good on my way out. It should be the least of your worries. =)

And its not that I don't like p101, in fact its basically the only place where people like me are, its just it kind of freaks me out so many people like the archives.

So I step up the game and return my arguments and I'm told this? I realize I didn't know the user base to well, but keep in mind, you are in the suggestions forum. New ideas and proposals for change are supposed to be here. Don't tell me to leave because of your disagreement. I got the message, tech junkie exists.

I was replying to the edit. not to the post above didn't see it. Just do what you wish but I told you, changes require to move a lot of pieeces, therefore making them almost impossible to occur.

Let's all cut out the attitudes and bickering. This is going off topic rather quickly and if it continues to I'm just going to lock it.

While I rather get the impression that this is irrelevant anyway, I feel that what is being suggested here would be superfluous. As previously mentioned, the Tech Junkies Paradise forum would cover all such topics as your suggested subforums apparently would. Also, again a point previously mentioned, it undermines the core purpose to this site - a help site for young people. That is not to say that it must be solely that - hence the General Discussions, 4th Wall, Art Room et cetera, not to mention the various social groups (though admittedly many lie in dust, undisturbed for centuries) and member diaries (which are in general rather more actively maintained), but its primary function remains providing support to teenagers. In short, I find this to be an unnecessary addition.

I do believe the kid got the point. Go to Tech Junkies, accept our member base for who they are (And where they are...) or this place isn't meant for him.

Virtual Teen is a help website designed for teenagers who have questions about their Health, Sexuality, Mental Health (I.E, Eating, Self Harm, Personality, Abuse...), and the changes their bodies are going through. We also offer a good variety of places for members to just chillax, such as the Chat Room and all of the forums listed around Tech Junkies. There are Art forums, music forums, style forums, poetry, forums, food forums, vehicle forums, and so on. There's even a forum for you to play Text based games (Thread games).

I suggest looking into those areas to see if you can't find a good place for you to just relax and be yourself.

This was a good suggestion, though. Thank you for putting forth an effort to bring the idea to our attention! I do hope you stick around and find something about the forums that might be of help to you. But this topic is done now. :locked:
