Remembering...

I was sexually abused for at least 2 years starting when I was 8 or 9 until maybe 11. (I don't quite remember when it started and stopped)
Even when it stopped he would still make moves on me physically until I cut all contact about 5 months ago. I'm fifteen.
He was my uncle, someone I trusted and confided in.
Now I can't stand to hear his name or talk about him, or what happened.
And I still feel bad for not answering the messages and phone calls.
The thing I remember most was him saying, "If you were older, you'd be doing more."
My life has never been the same.
I have severe depression and experience panic attacks.
If this is from the abuse or not, I don't know.
I just had to get this out and I wanted someone to see it.

And I know this is also extremely hard, but you really need to report this! I know he's your family member, but he can be doing this to another little girl right now, or he can easily come back to you! I know it's extremely hard and you really need to think about this a whole lot, but it will be safer for you, and for any other little girls that he can have contact with. And you should also see a therapist immediately!

What he did to you doesn't change who you are, you are better than him. You are a stronger person than you realise. Hun if you can get through that you'll conquer your demons in due time.

The first step for moving on is admittance, you are brave to publish this here. You have guts girl- don't let this man haunt you forever. (however I know how difficult it is to get them out of your head)

You are only 15. The world is your oyster, you can be whoever you want to be. You have so much to look forward too.

I'm going to make my best attempt at helping you out because I honestly haven't been sexually abused.
You know that you can talk to us whenever you want. First of all i want to say that I am terribly sorry that this happened to you at a young age by someone you trusted. Luckily you "weren't older." You may be having some issues with depression and anxiety because of this tramatic experience, but please just remember that you are NOT alone and that it wasn't your fault.
