Porn Talk?

I found myself in a rather strange position this evening when my father, who is in his 60s, brought up the topic of pornography. He incorrectly thought that I was unaware of sexual activities / issues / materials and tried to explain that pornographic material is degrading and hence that I should stay away from it. I'd blame his error in assuming my naivety on his old fashionedness in general, as most if not all people immersed in our modern world would be wiser as to the habits of teenage boys with internet connections in general. I don't think that I will follow his advice, but then who in this day and age would.

So my question is: Have you had a discussion with a parent / guardian related to porn and it's consumption? and/or Have your parents / guardians ever assumed your naivety when it comes to sexual activities / issues / materials?

No, in this day and age as you mentioned porn is everywhere. My parents aren't in their 60's so maybe they are more aware. My mother found tons of porn that's how she found out i liked guys..lol, my dad found some of his porn under my bed, but he was more upset that I stole it from his room, not that I was watching it.

I think most parents just know that it happens and realize how awkward of a conversation it would be, so they let it go. Well, mine at least.

my parents are super conservative christians so since i was little i've been given "porn is of the devil" speech. I never was given the talk or anything though. I don't even think they know what masturbation is to be honest, maybe my dad does but we've never talked about it.
