What age where you first left home by yourself?

I believe I was 13 when I steadily started going to school by myself, and soon after started making my own plans and basically doing what I wanted on my own.

I never had any restrictions past the age of about seven, my mum was too busy looking after my disabled sister to keep an eye on her other four kids and my dad was always too plastered to notice where any of us were so I had a lot of freedom. :D

Well, my parents always thought they were leaving me with my older brother, but he started leaving me on my own around 8 or 9. I'm not really sure when the first time they knowingly let me stay alone was. Over a whole weekend wasn't until this year though.

For me just before I started middle school. But even now I'm 14 and haven't ever been left alone overnight.

However, there were a few slight times when I was 8-9-10 years old where very rarely I was left for the odd hour but I would always have someone check in with me. However 10/ more 11 was when I was left alone for periods of time e.g a few hours.

I voted for 11 as that was when it was more official

It depends what counts. I have a twin brother so we were left home from around year 6 (age 10) as we're the same age neither was in charge of the other however if one of us stayed the other tended too so in my opinion I'd say we we're left alone from then.

Otherwise it would be year 7 (age 11) we attended separate schools as of then which meant we no longer had the same training days so we'd be entirely alone.

I was 10. I've got a little sister I looked after her when my mum and dad weren't there when I was 12, she was 8.

For me, like Louise, it depends on what counts.
When I was in year 5/6 so around 9 both my parents were working full time and since they didn't live together I'd be home alone. Sometimes with my younger sister, sometimes she'd get sent to an after school club.

When my mum finished her contract she got way too over protective. However at age 12 maybe my parents started to let things slack. Even now though they won't leave me for more than maybe 6 hours with hourly texts/phone calls.
