I'm rather worried about one of my friends. On the underside of her left wrist, there are some marks that look about as thin as a cat scratch, but look like they were done on purpose. All but one of the marks go across her wrist, the other one goes down her wrist. She also told me she didn't die by taking an entire bottle of Aspirin. I was worries and asked her why and she said it was her fifth suicide attempt. A few minutes later she said that last night she had this "dry slippery oil" taste in her mouth. I asked her is she drank oil (as a joke) and she said not oil, but bleach. I'm too worried to tell anyone. As for the marks on her wrist, last week there were some on the top side of her left hand. I just hope she's not actually trying to commit suicide. She seems too happy and silly (not a stupid silly, but a lovable silly) to be doing this. But then again, you can't tell how someone is just by how they seem. Any advice?

To me it sounds like she is trying to commit suicide. Even if she isn't trying to kill herself she is still doing things that are harmful, you should definitely tell an adult right away. She might get mad at you but it'd be completely worth her safety.

Did you try asking her if everything is alright with her? Talk to her about your concerns. Dont let worry stop you, if she does go theough with it and youve done nothing about it, thats way worse than at least trying! She probably does cut herself, and if her parents are telling the truth(which they most likely are) then she's not alright. You NEED to talk to her. Just because she acts like everything is okay, definately doesnt mean she is, some people are good fakers. I cannot stress enough, you need to talk to her and help her out in anyway you can even if all that is, is telling her youre there for her. Sometimes depression and thoughts of suicide can be caused just by family issues that she needs to get out of system.

Okay, I'll tell an adult if she tries to harm herself again. I'm even more worried because she's ran away before.
