I have a job interview tomorrow where i need to wear a short sleeve shirt. The scars on my forearm aren't that noticeable but still very visible. I need a quick way to hide the scars for my interview.

my family also doesn't know if that matters or not.

thanks in advance.

You could try a foundation, just make sure it matches.
You could try bracelets.
If your mum has some hair elastics, that might work.

You could always try not showing them and if you can't. Don't talk with your hands.

Just some suggestions, Good luck!!

You could always say they are from a dog or some sort.

this might be a stupid question but why does it have to be a short sleeved shirt?

But as Cassandra said, foundation could work.
You could take some sort of bag/rucksack and leave it in your lap and hide your arm behind it. Or take a jacket and drape it over your arm during the interview.

Personally when mine aren't covered I tend to keep my arm moving (I fidget and talk with my hands a lot anyway), and that way no ones eyes ever really settle on the scars.

Why exactly are you covering them? You realise it would be illegal for someone to deny you a job because of self harming behaviors especially if its in the past.

My thoughts exactly. Why? If you can, wear one with medium lengthed sleeves.

And in all honesty, the interviewer won't be examining your forearms. I am in a bad habit of always holding my arm against my body in some way that hides my scars when I am not wearing my wrist band (It's rare). Wear a necklace, and fiddle with it. Put foundation on it, hair spray it, and then apply more foundation on top of it.

Be confident in yourself, they won't notice it.

Thanks for the advice gang.
couldn't find where my sister keeps her make up though.

and the only nice shirt i have is short sleeved.

Guess i'll have to just try keep my arm hidden.

If it's an interview that you are going to, don't fidget too much, otherwise they'll think you're really nervous and it could make you look bad, so you need to make sure that you come of as confident! Is there not a suit jacket or a smart jacket that you could wear?

If the scars are on the inside of your arm, like others have said, just keep your arm on your lap with your forearm facing you.

Good luck with your interview and hope you get it! :)

Hmm hard one... I guess foundation would work, matter of finding any from your mom that would be a issue, I normally cause its to hot for long sleeves will hold my arm with the cuts near me or at a angle others cant see.
