Right im 14 (15 in 2 months) and I'm 5 foot 6. I Know this is a normal height for my age but im worried that I wont grow to be a normal height of the average man when im fully grown.

I have been smoking for the last 2 years which doesnt seem to affect my growth, but I am also worried that it will stunt my growth in the long run as I just cant quit. I have tried and tried and tried to but I just cant. I would love to be able to quit smoking but I doubt I ever will as I have tried loads of times before.

Is there anyway to speed up my growth of my height or make myself turn out taller?

No there isn't any way to speed up growth. You are only 14 and still have potential to get taller. You just have to accept with what you get. Height isn't a big deal anyways.

Smoking isn't helping your chances though. If you want to quit you have to get outside help from your doctor and parents because you can't do it alone.

yes i did make sense, and do you know how easy it is to get pressured into taking one, then the first one u took, and thought, ah it wont bother me, i wont get addicted. well it can get you so addicted that u cant help it, u get angry without it, and it doesnt help that people are saying, oh its easy, its not easy though, ok u go smoke and see if u get addicted

Thanks for that comment, really helpful

I didnt choose to start smoking because I thought 'it looked cool', both of my parents are smokers so I have always been around smoke and its a dirty habit I just picked up. When I was very young I used to steal them from my parents and smoke them as I didnt know any better at that age, and now Im addicted.

Dont post if you have no intention of helping me please.

Oh ok cheers, I always thought there may be a way of increasing your height but I geuss not.

As for telling my parents I smoke...stuff that its not worth the hassle. If I went to a doctor wouldnt they phone my parents and tell them?

I usually go through a pack of 10 a day, sometimes more though. When I keep myself busy i dont seem to go through as many though.

*Goes back on topic*
I'm 15, turning 16 in 2 months, so that makes me almost exactly 1 year older than you. I'm 5'6'' too... and I feel I've been 5'6'' since I was 14. But, people here in this forum and around me said that I still have potential to grow. Well, all you have to do is be patient I guess.

As for smoking, If you really can't stop, then I guess we can't do anything about it. Smoking won't affect growth, as it does not damage the liver. But watch out for your lungs.
