I've been trying very hard to make myself happy again, and try to stay positive, but it isn't working very well at all. I'm unable to focus on the positive things in my life, and I'm paranoid that I'm causing pain to others. I'm looking for some way that you guys have heard about, or use, to reward yourself when you manage to stay positive, not cut, etc. (Ex. I keep track of my moods, and if I'm doing well/better for 5 days, I reward myself with something). Do you guys have any suggestions?

Well I guess the reward is that I don't feel awful :)
But anyways, I like to write down all the good things that happened to me on any given day, like I saw the sun set or didn't hit any red lights going to work or had a good conversation, etc. It helps me to see that not everything is always bad and that even the small things can help cheer you up. But as far as rewarding myself? I just feel a little better I guess and don't beat myself so much about things, I never thought about that really so I don't have any great suggestions. But I would try writing down all the good things and do things for yourself that make you feel good, like something you enjoy. Hang in there :)

I dont really have any suggestions... But I like the idea of it, It doesnt really work for me but just thinking about it and how it would work it can help even a little... Just telling your mind if it does something that makes you happy, etc. you can reward it and yeah... Im bad at putting it into words but its cool.

Reviewing all the positive things you have said/thought at the end of each day and rewarding yourself accordingly is a great idea :)! In addition, I would also opt for some medication prescribed by a psychiatrist just to make it easier. Otherwise you'd end up not rewarding (possibly punishing) yourself a bit too much whenever you have a bad day. And that just perpetuates the depression cycle.
So in addition to your reward system, why not set up a few appointments with a psychiatrist (not a psychologist yet)? And well done, you've already taken the first few steps yourself! :)
