I think my favorite camera would have to be Canon 60D. I don't have one but I definitely plan on getting one soon. Whats your favorite camera?:yeah:

Depending on the use I'd have for one would I tell you which'd be my favorite. But if I had to choose it would probably be a rangefinder camera. By the way, you should consider a pre-owned 50d if you're in the market for a camera in that price range and especially if you have a limited budget. Will it be your first camera or dslr? I might be able to help you chose a good camera/lens setup if you'd like.

Well, camera doesn't matter to me as much as the lens.
Dream set up (which I will never have enough $ for), however, would be as follows:

Pentax K-30 (or whatever the K-5's successor may be)
Sigma 15 3.5
FA 31 1.8
FA 43 1.9
A 50 1.2
FA 77 1.8
FA* 85 1.4
FA* 80-200 2.8
Tamron 90 2.8 Macro
FA* 200 4 Macro
FA* 250-600 5.6
FA* 300* 2.8

I'd be covered with fast glass from 15-600mm...

If and when I get the 60D it's only gonna be the body. It'll be cheaper that way and I already have lenses that should fit it. I really want it for the video quality as well.

What lenses do you currently use?

EF-S 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS and another that I can't remember what it is. They're both from canon

Canon 7D. Costed me a year of money sparing, but definitely well worth it.

The lens is probably the most important factor, though. Better to have a good lens on a crap body than the opposite.

Don't bother. Get a good aps-c sensor dslr body and spend your money on great glass. If I had $1700 to spend on a camera system I would not let it go the body itself, especially if it's over a year old.
Spend some of that money on a good post processing program like Adobe Lightroom or Elements, buy a decent tripod or mono-pod, a camera bag, SD or CF cards, UV filters for your lenses, sensor and lens cleaning kits, and useful accessories. At least get your necessities before you spend over $1000 on a camera system. Just my opinion.

It doesn't really make a difference what camera you slap the 18-55 Canon kit lens on, you will get similar results. However, if you buy a better lens and use it on an older body, you will get better pictures. Body upgrades usually don't make as big a difference as if you would buy a better lens or two (even the plastic fantastic Canon EF-S 50 1.8 ($125 range) lens would be a rather inexpensive upgrade, add in Photoshop Elements or Lightroom (under $100) and you should be set to go without breaking the bank.

Leica MP + 50mm summicron, hey, I can dream :p

But Practically, any camera that's with me really. I shoot film & digital street photography so a big, clunky DSLR no matter how good it is isn't going to be discrete.

I have only ever used one DSLR and that would be my Canon Rebel T2i. The thing is a BEAST. So far, I have bought another lens (55-200mm) and a flash (430EX II, I believe). I would highly recommend the newest model to mine, the T4i.

I have the EOS Rebel T2i and absolutely love it. However, I like the 60D or 5D.

The camera I currently own is a Cannon EOS 10D. Super old but super awesome. :) I love the shit out of it.

I have plenty of cameras but my favorite would have to be a yashica-a. Before you google it to see what it looks like. It is historic. Manufactured in 1956 and it runs with mo batteries and it takes 120 roll film. But it yields great results.

Well I have a little 16mp point and shoot sony haha, it's good enough for what I want to do with it. My dad has a Sony A65 and I don't really see that big of a difference. My camera fits in my back pocket and that's really all I care about.

Gotta be my Nikon D7000, never ever failed me and it's just fab. Favourite lens is another story though. Some are expensive, I'd love a 70-200mm but just can't afford it right now. Currently, my favourite lens would have to be my 35mm f/1.8 simply because I've been doing lots of low light work.

I don't own anything special. I love 45mm cameras. I'm literally obsessed with polaroids.

I have a Canon Digital Rebel t2i, and it does the job, but I would like to acquire a Canon 60D one day for film projects.

I don't own a camera yet, but I have used three different cameras. A Nikon, a Canon, and an Olympus. I really like all three, I really do. But I am kind of hoping my first DSLR is a Nikon D600. I wouldn't mind if I got D7000 or a D3200, but the D600 seems like a beast! To be perfectly honest, wouldn't mind at all if I got either of the three, :p

I like my Canon Powershot A320? I think. It is small but has great quality and takes nice pictures though others are better for more professional photos.

Any DSLR with >8 mpix will be good. Megapixels amount only determine how big print can you make. Good optics is the clue to good photos. I have Nikon D3100 and I'm satisfied.

I have a Pentax K20D, which I just love. In addition to the standard kit zoom I have a 35mm F2.8 macro/standard lens and a 15mm wide angle. I also have a selection of pre-digital pentax lenses which are fully compatible with the K20D body.
