Around 2 months i go i used a knife and slit my wrist several times, only one the cuts needed stitches but i got this done on a friday and was told i would need them taking out the following friday. I know its wrong but i didn't want to go back to the doctors so i took the stitches out myself, Ever since my scar is really itchy unlike any others in the past and i was wondering what might be causing it any ideas?

Maybe it wouldn't be itchy if you had gone to the doctor to get them taken out.

^^ Possibly, Im not sure. I dont know how to take them out and kinda dont wanna know... or want them but just be safe wash your cut/scar off with some rubbing alcohol to clean out the little stitching holes.

Have you gotten stitches before? I haven't had them in a long time, but I think I remember both place itching pretty bad after having them taken out. I always have that problem with almost any cut though, especially if it's kinda bad, I think it's fairly normal. You should be fine, my brother used to take his stitches out on his own all the time and he had no clue what he was doing. However, just to be safe, you should probably ask your parents and/or a doctor about it.

If this continues over the next few days, than you may have to see a physician to make sure the area is properly healed. The reason doctors need to remove the stitches is so that they can make a final inspection of the laceration, and see if it needs further treatment. If you took them out too early, there could be side effects such as more scarring, and potentially, something worse.
It is also possible you had a local reaction to the stitches, and if so, that is something that could be a potential problem as well.
