When I'm with my friends at a pool party or whatever, I am perfectly fine with having my body hair be shown.

But when I'm around any family, like my parents, it's just awkward.

Is anyone else like this? Is it normal to be like this?

Yes, this is pretty normal. I'm an extremely hairy person and it's always awkward having your parents see it. I went to the hospital recently and had to wear a hospital gown and I tried my hardest not to let them see my hair, especially on my chest. It's just awkward for everyone involved.

Its pretty normal....Ur just scared how ur parents react to changes on your body.....Its same thing as u can talk about masturbating with ur friends but u cant with Mom,dad,Uncle,Aunt etc....I have a father thats always shirtless around the house so i dont really feel awkward......
