Yep, sounds like just experimenting. Nothing gay about that. I'd say it really only crosses the line if you start feeling romantic attraction/love, or want to pursue a relationship with a guy. You're teenagers, you can experiment and try new things with your friends without labeling it as some forbidden gay activity. Gay is so much more than sex - gay is an emotional connection / can be physical relationship -so if you have no emotional love then nothing crosses the line.

It's not gay, it's just experimenting and having fun. From my own experiences i was worried it was gay or that i might be gay. But i realized that i was just curious, me and my BFF freaked out after the first time we J/O together, but we talked about what we had done and from there we both realized that we didn't have feelings like romance or wanting a relationship with each other and jerking together just felt great and was fun. I agree with the guys above who say that "gay" is beyond the physical. I think good friends can give each other hand jobs and blow jobs without it being "gay." I have five close friends and we do that stuff together all the time.
