The only time a doctor would ever ask you for such a thing is if you, or your family, has a history of infertility, or other problems of that nature. Otherwise, they have no reason to check it.

A history of infertility makes having making offspring hard. Only thing that makes sense is produing little sperm so you can have children but it's way harder.
On topic: they may check you for std's or something related to what I said above but I don't see how that's related to a physical exam.
Anyways, if you do get a semen exam all you have to do is fill a plastic container with sperm. You'll be given a toilet and time.

They should't need a semen sample to check for STDs. If it's just a standard physical and you've had no trouble down there before then there's absolutely no reason they'd ask for a semen sample.
Edit: Unless you're trying for children and you're unable? But I doubt that's the case.

Usually a doctor might check to make sure that your sperm is shooting out healthy and normal. and to check to make sure you don't have a problem with infertility. Usually if your behind in puberty it is checked. I asked my mom she is a RN.

never had that happen at all...don't know anyone that has....but yes, if you're having problems in puberty, they might want to check on the testosterone level but otherwise I don't know why it would happen

It would be almost unheard of for a doctor to request a semen sample from a teenager. It's basically impossible. Don't worry about it.
Did someone say that was what happened in a physical? If so they were just trying to make you scared haha.

I had problems ejaculating, so the doctor asked me to cum into a cup, but in one of the bathrooms. But they never do during a regular physical.

They don't ask for semen during physicals lmao!
They don't even need semen for an STD screening...they use blood for that.
The only time they would ask for semen is if they're doing a sperm count (for infertility issues) or if you're at a sperm bank.

unless you are going to a fertility doctor or to your physician due to a condition regarding this, a doctor WILL NOT ASK for this.
