In my school, during Christmas and Summer tests, 2-3 weeks after the tests when your on holidays, your exam results come in a neat little bundle with your school report too.
But I hate the fact that they tell you your placing in class.
So all the kids who didnt do well or had a bad week will get embarressed.
I think the school should stop doing this, because for nerds, Its degrading that everyone knowing you came 6th or 7th (Like I usually do, which pisses my off) and then its just embarressing for the kids who did bad.
And then the douchebags who get bad placings anyways, just mock everyone else.

Sometimes I think I should organize a protest or something, like one day all the students in my year come in with non-uniform t-shirts with protest quotes on them. But I cant imagine enough people doing it.

Anywaays, I just want your opinions or thoughts on this, or whether do this in your schools.
Thanks!

Do you mean you don;t want school to tell you your placing in the class? If that is what you mean then no, I don't agree with you. I like seeing my placing in the class. It tells me that I either did a good job and get rewarded for it or that I need to cut out on my free time and work harder on school. But hey thats me. I enjoy school and working hard. I wouldn't mind cutting out some of my free time to do more school work..

Its just academic competition. Some people, like myself, are interested to see where they stand compared to the rest of their class. I don't think they should eliminate class rankings, where's the fun in that?

I think its only fair, I know exactly how you feel, but life's tough, and if you're not at the top of the food chain, you're probably being eaten.

Thanks for replying, guys, I see your points.
Even though I do like school, working hard and stuff more than the average person,
I'd like to see the placings private, not public to everybody. Loads have people have been caught cheating and shit cuz of it,
But then again, it encourages you to work harder and try and do your best.

The school makes your rank public? I don't agree with that. At my school, ranks are kept private and I like it better that way. We can let others know our rank, but I think you should have a choice in whether you want people to know your rank. I know how annoying it can get for higher rankings, so I keep mine private otherwise I would get people constantly asking me for help because they think I'm smart. Honestly, I'd be pretty upset if my rank were public.
