I have a lot of pubic hair and I'm wondering if I shave it if it will come in thicker

No, shaving doesn't change the thickness. No method of hair removal makes hair thicker.

I would trim very short, and I don't think it comes back thicker but I might be wrong.

I don't think so, but it'll come back prickly and maybe a bit darker. If you don't shave it properly, you might get a rash too, the pricklyness might also irritate your skin, if you shave make sure you put lotion on afterwards. -.- your groin area is very sensitive, oh and don't leave hair in the bathroom
