Just found out this weekend that my mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. They didn't tell me anything til they knew for sure, but they have had suspicions for a month since her check up she had in July.
Any other teens out there had a mom or dad diagnosed with Cancer? What changes should I expect, other than already figured out I would be doing more work around here (which I don't mind if it helps my mom get better).

I feel your pain, my mom was diagnosed again this year with Breast Cancer, she just had the surgery, but now she has to get another one or radiation. Hard to say what changes to expect, since I don't know what her results are or what type of treatment she is getting. As far as chemo, she could get pretty sick, I've seen what it does its scary but just stay strong, radiation, I'm not sure if a person can get sick, but if they use to much, your mom will get burnt but they should be careful with that. Just give your mom a break, don't stress her out, be there for her, give her love and support, help your father or whoever lives with you help, if Michigan has a Sloan-Kettering like NYC she will be in the best care, if she is getting surgery, recovery will be 2-7 or so days but its the treatment that will be hard. Let me know if you have any questions or just want to talk. Stay strong <3

I share your pain - cancer can effect everyone differantly and the meds may have some side effects to.
There may be some organisations you can access that help out or just someone
you know to talk to.
Try and have someone you can talk with and as ever maybe a hug with mum and dad cos a long ways -
