Hi just wanted to get a bit of info, im moving to america (from England) after i finish college, not for another year yet but, i still need to learn a lot.
First off, ill be walking away with A-levels, Then i plan to further my education, i think college in america is the next step? im not sure what you guys call it.
Anyway what i want to know is if you get student loans in america, and will i have to pay to go to college or w/e it's called. Will i have to pay more as an international student if i live in america? What are the terms of a student loan, i know in england you dont have to pay the money back intill your earning a certain amount of money a year.
How are jobs in America? i plan to go into law enforcement or become a lawyer, i realise it will vary from place to place, but where i live in England the only reason i got a job was because i knew someone in the company, there are over 2x the amount of polish than english in the area, and i would have to commute over 50 miles (about 75 km) to get paid £5 an hour. thats pretty much just paying back the transport costs.
So ye how are the jobs in america? ill need to secure one before i leave because ill be moving out on my own, without my family.
Also are the benefits in america for any time i go without a job? all advice will be taken thankfully

Also another note im either moving to Virginia or Arizona

Alright, you can get generous financial aid and student loans if you end up in America BEFORE you've applied. Get a Green Card, the rest is easy. And check out the Stafford Loans/Pell Grants.

They are very few unemployment benefits in general, plus I'm pretty sure you have to be a permanent resident to apply for them. My advice is that you move to Northern Virginia instead of Arizona. The job market is very stable in NoVa compared to other parts of the country and the pay is also higher as well. Also, university is very expensive in the US and you have to pay more if you are an immigrant. Just make sure you have a stable income source before moving there.
