dogs nearly dead

im scared that if i wake up one morning and my dog Elsa (who is 10) will be dead coz shes an English st bernard and they only tend 2 live until they are 10-11 every day she gets tired easier when i take her on for a walk i dont want 2 loose her i love her 2 bits:(

really nice dog although i'm not that sure what to say about the dog dying its kinda part of everyday life and its really sad to see your own pet die

well my beagle Patty is 12 and she sometimes has energy and sometimes not. It really is tough to see ur own pet die in front of you. but that is everyday life. There's no getting past in man. My condolences to you mate. God has plans for us all. :yes:

its hard when this kind of thing happens my cat died that ive had for 14 years and it was really sad for me but when i think of him i think of the good times we had and how much he made me happy.
I know he's in a better place now. just think of the good times you had with your dog. and enjoy the rest of the time you have with him.

ya....i know how u feel.
my dog is 16 years old, has kidney failure and a tumor. we cant fix the kidney failure but the tumor can b fixed with immense pain. we dodnt want to hurt him, so we just make the pain somewhat less with weekly injections for kidney failure. hes slowing down and getting more and more tired each day and the worst part is is that hes been around longer than me, so ill have my first death of a pet. try getting another pet BEFORE elsa dies. if u do it after it will be like replacing. my family just got a new dog, so we can say at least we still have our other pet.
