There's not really any way of us knowing without knowing what school you're going to, what type of sports you'll be doing, what state you're in, what the general preference is in that state and loads of other information. I'd strongly recommend not giving out that kind of information on here, or the internet in general.

Generally it seems that schools in the US tend to shower after Gym/PE whereas British/European schools mostly don't. Obviously that's a huge generalisation and the particular school that you're going to might be completely different to others, however, you should be prepared to shower if you need to. Maybe it's just the UK but you should have a choice about showering, nobody should force you to do it.

I'm pretty sure that the high school I'm going to be attending has required showers after gym class. But who cares? I'm at the age where my sweat is stanky, so I want to take a shower. There's nothing more satisfying after an hour of playing sports than a hot relaxing shower. And if other boys want to look at my junk, well, more power to them. :)

Last year only me and my friend were showering. I guess everyone else was too shy to join us, it's pretty wierd if you think about it.

Nah not unless you did an extra circular sport like rugby....but like just for gym class we didn't have to/have time to.

It is required in our school after PE and definitely shower after swim practice or sports programs...shouldn't be a problem usually it is quick in quick out and dress...in PE at least ....but in swim practice we probably stay in as long as we can....all guys after all and all have the same stuff right?....just don't stress and do it...you'll be fine

I live in Ireland and we get about 3 mins to change into our gear and out again so nobody showers just a bit of deodorant

I had to at one point, was too scared to look at anybody else, and it was just a quick in and out. :P

i never was forced to but we could if we wanted to. some kids did and some didn't.
