View Full Version : Burping troubles

I'm 17, and in my entire life I've probably eructed about 22 times. I can't burp on command. I can barely burp at all. When I do "burp" it's just a small release of gas that has a slight taste and smells like my last meal got stuck in your heater.

Currently, I'm in a sort of medical urgency. I've eaten too much, and I feel all KINDS of bloated. I know that at least 10% of that is air. I'd like to be able to sit up without feeling like puking my stomach out.

I found a couple of "Five step" tutorials, and they all miss out one small detail: the actual burp. I've yet to see a single explanation of how a burp works. I saw a video by "the original professional burper" and he gave me the idea that it's opening up the esophagus all the way down to the stomach and keeping it open, rather than using the... "lung tubes". [Shut up, you know what I mean]

I'd like to know if I've got the right idea, and if I do, how the fuck to actually get my muscles to cooperate. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Again, this isn't just so I can learn how to burp for fun or anything, I'm in quite a bit of pain with a small side helping of nausea, my attempts at burping have just succeeded at making it worse as well as almost blowing a hole in my pants.
