A big problem of mine for a while is not speaking up, like in class or at events and what not. Now i have no problem with talking, i love talking and im not that shy its having something to say holds me back. I never have something to say so people hink of me as quiet which is SOOO not true. Then i develop a reputation and i feel i have to stay that way, so even when i do have somethig to say i still dont speak up. I wanna break the tradition!
Anyone else the same? Any suggestions?
Wonder.

Simple answer: Speak up.
I know the feeling. The only difference is that I actually am shy. You just have to fight every urge to keep quiet and say what you have to say. The best way I found is to try to get into conversations where you know somebody's going to have a different opinion. Just don't get into something too controversial, then they might not talk to you again.
Just speak!

I think one thing to do is to know what specific people / groups are interested in.
You can always revert to a bit of research or just remebering details about people
what there hobbies are or things they will be doing - maybe someone says " Its 3 weeks and we will go camping " so file taht away and then nearer the time just ask about thier plans for the camping trip.
Let people talk to you and activley listen - thier family stuff names of pets etc.
I have one freind who is into films and all the special effects - bores me silly but he talks to me and we hang out
Its all a bit give and take social interaction - but then you can keep up with whats on in your area or share a hobby interest with others.
Hope this helps

kinda confused, but i get wht you wanted to get out overall. Yep, the simple answer is to speak up. Even if you have nothing to say, say 'i agree' or 'i disagree' or even 'im a little confused, can you explain?'.
