this is a poem i wrote while thinking about life as a teenager and individuality, let me know what you think :)
The strongest heart stands alone, while the weak quiver and shake among a crowd, trying to cover themselves from the cruel realities of life.
An eagle soars among the heavens of gold.
his head as high as the pines reaching far above the tops of the mountains. his wingspan stretching across the vast canvas of blue and pale pink carefully painted by the gods, that stretches across the four corners of the world.
Below him, the crows gather
hundreds
scrounging off of what the world has tossed at them.
They scrounge for dreams that have already been taken and have been dried from overuse, while the skies stay fresh in the eagle’s eye.

I hope you don't mind if I give my own interpretation which is related to your original meaning.
I think it fits well with the idea of the teenager because at that age you come to a realization that all is not what it seems. The line "They scrounge for dreams that have already been taken" could be a reference to the sheep mentality and how one person's dream ends up being everybody's in a matter of days. It could also mean that they never have any thoughts of their own because they have been crushed and therefore rely on other people's dreams but the eagle(Presumably you) maintains hope as "The skies stay fresh in the Eagle's eye".
That's just my thoughts anyway, good poem.

This is great. I love it. What did you intend it to be about?

Thank you TheTurkinator andEvilangel for your kind compliments i really appreciate it :D, Turk I really thought your interpretation was very fascinating and i love how you went so in depth and put so much thought into my poem :) , the crows are defenitely a reference to the sheep mentality and im glad you picked up on that! as far as the eagle being me goes, well, im not so sure if the eagle is me personally but the spirit of individuality i hope to attain :). and Evilangel to be honest when i wrote it i didnt necessarily have an intention of what it was suppose to be about but i guess it turned into a poem expressing how i want individuality :). Thanks again :D

No problem, it was certainly an interesting read and beneath the veil there are some strong messages there :)
