Did I (we) do the right thing?

Me and my girlfriend, Mariah were at a party. It was about 5 miles from where I live and her older brother drove us there. The party was cool. There was plenty of fun stuff to do. Like there was the closet game for couples and other fun things. This is when it got bad. This one kid by the name of Matt. He brought a sandwich bad with a few yellowish white rocks inside. We both knew it was crack when he told us "I got purple caps!! Anyone want some?!" We then saw a kid grab the land line phone. When we saw this; we left the house and started running back 5 miles to my house. (avoiding main roads as we could hear multiple sirens getting louder.)

Did we do the right thing? I wasn't supposed to leave my house in the first place and to even be at a party that has the tinyest amount of illegal substance is threating to every partygoer via law enforcement.

Again did we do the right thing and leave the house probably after 911 was dialed? We are both sitting in my house as this is being typed.

You might not have been at the party but you said no when it came to drugs and left the party where there was drug usage, so I don't see anything wrong with your actions. Rather sensible in my opinion.

You never touched anything illegal so even if the police worked out that you were there you can truthfully say I had no part in it and I would have dialled 911 but somebody beat me to it......

Yes you did the right thing, its not like you were doing anything illegal at this party and you left when it got bad, so you can rest easy. Good decision making :)

Yes, you did the right thing. I often use drugs, such as weed, shrooms, mdma - but I would never associate with crack cocaine. That stuff can literally cause death, not to mention I guarantee the people who do it get caught.

Definately did the right thing! Like others above me have said, you wouldve been charged and been in serious trouble, not to mention having a juvenile record and yours parents finding out.. You did a very very good thing by getting out of there

You did the right thing, and I have done that too. I was at a party once with a lot of drugs at it, and I went outside for some reason and saw a police car pull up. I went back inside and told people, but they just sat around with their drug stuff everywhere, so I left straight away.
