View Full Version : is it good or bad to move your xbox 360 hard drive to other consoles?????

yeah so my freinds xbox is banged up and alot of games dont work on it. he said its because of the hardrive so he wants me to bring my hard drive over so we can play. we are planning on having a long ass halo sesh from reach- halo 3. so yeah this HDD has 3-4 years of serious gamming on my account. and i dont want to loose it. what are your thoughts on this. please go over in detail please...

Just move it properly and make sure you press you button down hard enough so it comes out smoothly and it works fine, dont worry about it i've done it quite a lot to take it to friends house and its always gone fine. aslong as you dont pull it off without pushing the button its all ok

It may be easier to just bring your console. Especially since I doubt it's the hard drive that makes certain games not run.

Well it depends on which Xbox they have and which one you have. If they have the older style Arcade and Elite, and you have the new Slim, you can't switch hard drives. But yeah, it's not bad, as long as you're careful and keep it save you shouldn't have a problem.

Yeah I have the original xbox 360 elite. And he has the first Xbox. Not the arcade though.

If it's the hard drive that caused the problem on his, you're at no risk.
