Get ready to throw away your chargers and docks: First pictures of Apple's new mini connector for iPad mini and iPhone 5 leaked



The first pictures purporting to show the flex cable components for Apple's iPad Mini and iPhone 5 incorporating the new smaller dock connector have emerged.
The photograph, shared by French tech website nowhereelse.fr, shows two components, one of which is said to be similar to another apparently leaked picture of a part of the new iPhone.
As well as the new dock connector, the part also seems to take in the headphone jack and the home button connector for the hotly awaited devices.

It'll be sort of annoying. I have a 3rd gen iPod and 2nd gen iPad. If i get a new iPod this year i don't want to have to get all new chargers and other stuff.

Not "leaked". "Strategically placed by Apple on a website where people will share and make a big fuss about it" is a better description.
Nothing is really leaked, or every time somebody would be fired.

That is exactly what Apple wants you to do though, Apple probably gets a percentage of all profits made by those accessories.

Maybe they'll make an adapter, like they did for the MagSafe 2 so that MagSafe 1 devices could work on MS2.
$20 and all your accessories are back and working again with the new iPhone.

Don't forget the iPod would come with the cable already do all you would need is a plug.
