So my sister will be starting college soon and she will be going to college at UCLA which was her first choice, I'm glad for her of course but I'm also going to miss her. I don't know why I posted this but I guess I just wanted to tell someone.
P.s. sorry if I put this in the wrong category.

Well that's definitely understandable that you'll miss her. I missed my older sister when she moved out of the house a few years ago, too. You should keep in touch with her. Call/text, Skype or e-mail her every few days. And also, just know that she'll probably come visit you or you and your family could visit her. Colleges and universities tend to have longer breaks than high schools. They usually have like almost a month off for winter break and then around 3 months for summer break. And then, of course, there's a fall and spring break which are shorter. So, try not to miss her too much because I'm sure that she will see you soon.

UCLA! I went there for a program last summer, the dorms are fun! She's going to love it.
You'll be off with your own life before you know it but it doesn't hurt to call every so often. Just not everday, unless it's ok with her.

Yeah! I know what you mean! I got two sisters now who are completely out of the house, but has been for a while! So now you are lucky you have technology to connect with her! Sadly for me I didn't have any phone, nor computer access because back in 2007, we didn't have the technology we have today to connect to people easily!

Wow. I feel for you. My two older brothers have left for college. I really miss them.
When my brothers left for college my friends told me to look on the bright side. They said I'd have more time to myself and more room. That's true, but it's really not worth the trade off.

Get her cellphone number?
Or maybe just communicate with her as much as possible through the means of social media :)

I feel for you, I am going to college this year and I have a younger sister who I am leaving :( . It might be hard for awhile, but stay in touch and be sure to visit her (and she should visit you as well), and you'll both adjust. I wish you the best of luck though, I know its not easy :)

You could go and visit her?
I have a twin brother who I know I'll miss when I go next year but i'm planning on getting him a train ticket meeting him at the station and spending days with him.
Other than that as others have suggested Skype her, have long phone calls and keep up with her on social networking sites.
