i have therapy ever wed at 3 and ive been going sunce the beginning of may. its not working, we never talk about the real reason im there. we have done anything to stop my cutting. iim afraid to tell her about my issuse with my weight. i feel like its pointless to go anymore but i dont want to start over

Tell your therapist that you don't think it's working and that you want to focus on different issues. You should also tell them about all your issues, therapy doesn't really work unless you tell your therapist everything. If you don't feel it works, you might want to change therapists.

If you want to get better, you have to make the first move. Tell her so she can help you. Don't give up.

Please talk to your therapist! I saw one for 4-5months, once a week and we never once discussed the actual reason we were there. She gave me so many opportunities and I was too stubborn or too scared to take them. She was wonderful, and she would have helped me, but now I'm too much of a coward to go back. Please don't lose your chance at finding happiness. You deserve more that this.
If you are too scared, tell her that you want to talk about the real reason you are there. She will probably help coax it out of you. But at least say' 'Hey, I know we've been avoiding the issue, but I want to talk about why I'm actually here.' And she will help you. You deserve it.
