period pain

my girlfriend and i were out shopping together today. after a while she wanted to go home. when i asked her why (we hadn't been out for long) she told me she was on her period and she was sore. i was wondering if anyone could tell me what causes period pain and how bad it actually is so i know how to look after her during these times?

Well im not a girl but i know that periods are painful. The aches and cramps are probably just the whole cycle going on, and all the blood coming out and whatnot im sure is very uncomfortable. Its part of being a girl, and to comfort id say just let her be. If she wants to go home or sit down let her.

When a girl has her period, it hurts. Almost like having a "watermelon" or something inside your stomache. You feel bloated, fat, your pants don't fit, ect. Offer her midol, tylenol, nuprin, or some medicine that reduces menstural cramps. If her period is heavy and she's wearing a pad, suggest a tampon, it's much more comfortable. She'll probably want to sit down, let her, make her feel good. And ALLWAYS tell her she looks good!

A great trick for cramps is eating a banana- or just take a painkiller. Long hot baths are good, too. Lol for a guy to really understand cramps....um....well imagine you haven't eaten in 3 weeks and someone just punched you in the stomach....repeatedly....for a couple of hours lol.

Though it does vary with different girls- I just need to lay down for a half hour or so, whereas my mom actually passed out when she was my age.

Haha well now you know- so don't you ever tell your gf off for complaining about them :P Especially when she's PMSing, you might not live to see the next day lol
