I got a simple clip on macro lens. Not close to as powerful as pretty much all DSLR macro lenses, but something new and interesting I'm working with. So, back to droplets for me. Enjoy peeps.

Nice job! It gives me a feeling of mystery and simplicity. btw, what macro lens were you using? and what did you use for the background colors?

Thank you :). I don't have have a real macro lens, but the clip-on one I got is the Raynox DCR-250 2.5x Super Macro Lens. It works as well as can be expected. I'm going to shoot some more tomorrow, and try it out again. For the background I either put more multi-colored feathers, and let the defocus fade the shapes into abstract colors, or just left the background as it was (a wall for some and a window for others).

They are way cool

thank you.

I shoved my camera into the personal space of water droplets :whoops:. And I've worked my ass off for the past year to get to this point. Skills need exercise, like anything else. Dedicate yourself to shooting and learning and exploring photography and you'll create amazing things .

I do enjoy your work time and time again; but I'd like to see some variety as far as subject matter and your work in general. Often times your photos are very similar and it's starting to become a little uninteresting for me. I don't mean to say your work is bad at all, because it's absolutely fantastic and I truly mean that when I say it, but I would like to see some more variety, y'know?

You're clearly talented, I would love to see what else you're capable of because you have a fantastic eye and you certainly know how to work your camera very well. You utilize a lot of principals and elements of design - the only problem is that they often are the same elements/principals.

I actually really took that to heart. I didn't have much time to reply, but I looked for new, different things and ideas to photograph. I'm very limited though; I don't have any models and I don't have the ability to travel and find new things. I try to experiment with composition and colors...right now I'm more or less satisfied with that. I might upload them here in a bit and I'd love to know if you think they're any more interesting or original. Thanks for your opinion :).

I respect your maturity and ability to take constructive criticism a lot. I'm sure as you know many people can't do that :P I really hope you know how much I really do love your work though, it's fantastic and you have a lot of talent. I will forever be excited to see a new thread by Iris in the photography section.

You should upload your new work :) I'd love to see it!

I'm fully aware there's a shitload of learning for me to do in this field. I'll take anything if it means I'll improve :)
