View Full Version : Am I just straight or bi or just curious?

So I have a not-so-big dilemma...
I've liked girls since forever. I've had crushes on girls, had a couple of girlfriends, and always imagined I'd get married to a beautiful girl and have kids and all that stuff, so I am definitely emotionally attracted to females. And when I was making out with a girlfriend of the time, I did get a boner.
But my issue is that I don't get hard over girls in general, if I'm not watching porn or something and idk. Because some guys get hard over girls even if they're clothed right? Well..idk. But I have jacked off to straight porn, which leads me to my next thing...I watch gay porn also. More frequently than straight porn actually, and I get turned on more by it. So what does that make me?
Also for example to my main issue of not getting hard over girls, like on tumblr if I see a hot girl, I do acknowledge that she's hot but I don't get hard. However, if I see a guy that happens to be shirtless or naked, I might get a bit hard or something. (Maybe I just want to have that kind of body??)
So any feedback would be appreciated. I don't think I'm gay though.

Haha somehow I had a feeling someone would say that.
I guess I wanted to know that I wasn't alone.
I think I'll blame the hormones...
And you are right, it's not for others to decide at all. So thank you for that!
I just want some thoughts then I guess xD

Hope this helps

Your sexuality is not solely based, or really, that much at all, on what gives you an erection. You're a teenager going through puberty. Just about anything related to sex will do that. Most likely, you are just curious, seeing as you didn't state that you had any emotional attraction to boys/men. You won't be getting an erection from every single girl you ever see, and in fact, you really shouldn't.
As for pornography, that is just about meaningless in this case. You like what you like, and nothing more, I don't think.

See how these feelings play out for the next few years. If you start to feel more of an attraction to the same sex, then sure, there is a possibility you could be gay/bisexual etc...
For now though, I think you are just a curious teenager, and you don't really have anything to worry about.

i'm the exact same way. i've come to label myself as just bisexual. because like you i have an emotional attraction to girls. i've been in love with girls and have had smaller crushes. whereas i've never had any crushes on any guys, but i am way more sexually attracted to them and i don't get hard over girls in general as you were talking about.
personally, i consider that a variation of bisexuality because for me it's more than just curiosity since i don't really have a huge sexual attraction toward girls. you however can feel free to label yourself whatever way you want. :)
and feel free to message me if you'd like to talk.

Its possible you could be gay? Having girlfriends and imagining being married to a girl doesn't really mean much since social standards condition boys and girl to thinking of marriage with the opposite sex.
I guess it all depends. If you're not entirely sure you could always experiment. Have you ever found any romantic attachment to any guys at school? The same you would a girl?

I highly doubt I am gay only because I have never felt emotionally attached to a guy or romantically attached to a guy from school ever. I just cant picture that either so i know im not gay.. Nothing against gay people but i could never see myself in a relationship with a guy.

lol. are you sure you just don't want to think you're bisexual? i was in denial too for a good three years or so, simply labeling myself as curious.

that's correct. time will tell. i didn't want to be bisexual and to be honest, i still don't, but if it's what i am then there's nothing i can do to change that so i might as well embrace it.
for now though just try and remain comfortable with yourself and don't rush to figure out who you are, you'll know soon enough. :)

I feel the same as you for girls and also the same as you for guys maybe you´re emotionally attracted to women and can be with one and you feel physically attracted to men. Anyways remember you´re not alone...
