Anyone else feel that by choosing Paul Ryan as his running mate, Mitt Romney really screwed himself for the upcoming election. I'm by no means a Romney fan, but I saw him as the "lesser of two evils". Now that he has a total idiot for his VP, I think he stands no chance of winning the election. Opinions?

Neither of the idiots should win.

Sadly one has to... I do agree though. We have two of the worst candidates I could think of for this election. I dread the next four years.

What do you mean ruining this country? In what ways are we doing it?

He said that one of them has to win. That isn't true. They can both lose, other people who would be WAY better ARE running. You can vote for them.

Unfortunately most people think that there's no point, which is why they just vote for one of the big two. You're never going to solve things by voting for the lesser of two evils, because that means you're still voting for evil.

a bunch of people are running. But the vast majority of people are going to vote for either Obama or Romney.

Of course more people are running. Hell if I wanted I could send mail in a vote for mickey mouse! That doesn't mean he has any chance of winning the election, same as all of your other candidates that you have mentioned.

I think it was a smart choice for Romney. He's now got a man who was on the House Budget Committee (and no doubt countless friends in Congress), 20 years experience in Washington (again, experience is key), and someone who can help Romney defend his policies. Paul Ryan is a great fit for the job, and no matter how much you dislike him, he's made a name for himself. The decision to put Ryan as VP definitely makes me lean to the Republican side, but I'm still undecided as to who I'll vote for.

Clinton, along with a bipartisan Congress, actually did more for the American social and economic structure than Bush and Obama combined. Get your shit straight or shut up.

Hurr, I don't know how to research candidates, durr.

Well, Terrorism was not as big then as it used to be, huh? If George and Clinton switched spots, I am sure you would be calling Clinton a bad ass and George a pussy.

But, Who killed Osama at the end? Obama, that's who.

Anywhom...

Paul Ryan defiantly has a lot of charisma and apparently a lot of ladies like him. But, he is still quite young for VP. If he is going to grow some older, bigger balls, he is going to have to do so fast.

Personally, If I could, I would not vote. For Romney, Obama or Paul (but he has a devil's chance of winning, so...)

no with Ryan he will win the Wisconsin vote, Florida vote, and Ohio vote. He will beat out that Lazy ass president we have now. Romney isnt the best choice for the Republicans but he is a buisness man and will know how to run the country smoothly with his experiance. When people get madebecause he moved buisnesses over seas, that was his job. he had to fix companies and that was the way he saw fit. i hope they win. Romney-Ryan 2012! We will turn Wisconsin Republican!

I think Romney is doing Obama a favor by choosing the super conservative Ryan as a running mate. Usually in general elections, both candidates try and court the independents and moderates, because they have people in their respective parties already locked up. But the thing is indies and moderates like things like Medicare and Social Security on the whole, and Ryan's budget basically came out against those programs as they exist now. It will be easier for the Dems to make the Republicans look anti-populist. The only plus for Romney is that he maybe shores up his party's support and excites his base a little.

Besides that, I can't think of two more boring people besides Romney and Ryan, so I don't really think it was the best choice.

I agree with you, it's a disaster. personally, romney is not exactly evil...he's just stupid and idiotic. Ryan is actually evil. He doesn't give a shit about what happens to the people. I mean, the guy is a total 'tard...

Exactly. As much as I dislike Obama, he is an excellent speaker. He knows how to make believe in him and trust him, put faith in him. Whereas Romney seems to just sit in the shadows and hope that by some miracle he could win an election. I get where he's going with Ryan though, he wants to be appealing to the conservatives. However it would be so much more beneficial (in my opinion) if he would've chose a moderate or more liberal republican, that way he could appeal to democrats who are just as fed up with Obama as republicans are. However I see Paul Ryan as a complete nut job though! Some of his beliefs are so right wing that they're worse than the liberal beliefs which I unequivocally hate. (once again, just my opinion) Oh well.. guess I'll hope for the best come November and wait for 2016 when I can actually vote.
