my dad's an okay cooker. but he doesn't do a lot of cooking...it's my mom who does that. but he can still do some, like dumplings for example

My dad's a great cook, he used to work as a chef. My mom's the one who can't cook. Or rather she can, she just chooses to not make anything appetizing.

My Dad's a great cook, way better than my mum but I guess that's what happens when they have no one else to cook for them. They magically get off their asses and have a go in the kitchen.
