I am 16 years old. I was wondering if I should shave or trim my pubic area. I'm thinking of trimming because then I still feel like I have masculinity because it's not all gone. And when I say trimming I mean using one of the electric shavers for beards. I also wanted to know if girls prefer it shaved completely or at least trimmed. I know this is an awkward question, but to receive feed back from both genders would be great. (I am NOT gay.)

If you have never trimmed before, then I would imagine you have a nice bush there at your age. Trimming feels great, just think of it as getting a short haircut on your head.

Also, getting rid of all that extra hair makes your thing look bigger. :)

My girl prefers for me to shave so I do, think of it this way do you want to go down in a girl with a bush or rather her trim or shaved?

I prefer just trimmed over anything, but every girl has a different preference. Trim it at first and see how you like that, and then if you want you can try shaving it completely. You can always let it grow back if you don't like it.

Go ahead and give it a try. It will only grow back so you really won't do much harm. If there's a particular girl youre worried might not like it, well like I said, it will grow back.

Personally, I'd say just trim it. It's way easier that way. And all those razor bumps :rolleyes: ouch. Most girls are perfectly fine with trimed, so don't worry, besides, if you wanna know, just ask her what she likes best :rolleyes: ~holli

I use to shave, but it got to be to much of a hassle to shave every day. So now I do a short trim and its a lot less time consuming and even looks a little better. And it still gives the appearance that your bigger.

i shave i think it looks clean and your penis looks bigger. i would shave but the first time you shave get itchy then dont get itchy the next time.

I've gone through all stages. personally i think trimming is the best. right now i have all the hair and it gets really sweaty and gross when i work out and play tennis. when i shaved it all off it is nice, but it kinda reminds me of being really young. so a trim is perfect i think and looks pretty cleaned up

Well I get rid of all of mine (as is possible) becasue I find it to be a real turn off! Just do what feels comfortable for you :)

Alright, thanks guys. I trimmed it, and you know, I like it better that way it feels better than a bush.. lol. And I didnt really get any itches or anything after I did. I'm thinking that i'll keep doing it now.

Probably best to ask your girl what she likes best. From what I've heard, trimmed it best, because theres not a lot of hair, and totally shaved looks like a little boy. Totally shave is also a lot harder to maintain and can be itchy at times.

Lol, it isn't. And I actually like it better that way.

On a different thought, GUYS that have shaved/trimmed, what should I do for the more sensitive areas like the testicles or penis. I used scissors to get as close as possible with all the hair 'round that area. Is there an easier way, to not have it bleed? lol cause I tried with the trimmer and it bled every sensitive part i touched it on.
