Really? The reason I ask is because every other truck at my school... my school is a rich school we are basically all rich... have all tricked their trucks out and have like f150s or f250s so yeah I just wanted to customize mine a bit

No offense, but if "everyone at your school has like f150s or f250s" you're not at a rich school. If you were at a rich school the parking lot would be filled with BMW 3 series, M-B C series, and Audi A4s.

I also considered doing things like lowering my car, ECU tuning for higher octane, and doing some exhaust. Then I realized that I can do that when I get my own car to use for my job. Save the money now and It'll be $5000 by the time you graduate from college.

Actually, all the cars you mentioned lose their value really quickly. You can buy a super nice 2004 Audi A4 for under $7000. You have to spend at least $12,000 for a decent truck like a F-150.

You could put on a lift kit and put on some bigger tires. That's going to run you about 5-6 grand though. I would maybe tint the windows if I were you, that's all I can think of though.

we are basically all rich
In that case, use it to drive to the dealership and buy a new truck.

Or you could go to a print shop and see if they do vinyl vehicle wraps so you can really let everyone know how rich you are.

I've never liked the matte black bumpers. I think you should get those painted the same color as the truck. Oh yeah, and lifting it and putting mudding tires on it would be cool.

I have always liked Toyota trucks. Yhey're the best!

You could lift it about 5" and put on 33s with new rims for 2.5-3k. Exhaust would be cool but with a 4 cyclinder its not that great. However, I'd invest in chroming the bumper, fender flares, grille, rocker panels, and all other trim. That shouldnt cost more than 1k. Also, leveling the front and putting on bigger rims and low profile tires look good on tacomas.

Id say "Get a Dodge" but you cant.... Lift it, tires, engine mods, exhaust, if you do off roading... mounted lights... etc.

Please tell me where you would be able to do all that for so cheap? All the places where I live said it would be 6-7k for that.

It's not really my kind of scene, but don't you like it as it is? Although some flames painted on it would look alright. I'm oldschool I guess.

That's already a short bed. Add a toolbox and you won't have any room to carry anything.

You have to research and buy parts yourself. I was going to lift my truck and put on 33s with new tires and this was the price breakdown.
Rough Country 3.5/4" spindle/block lift = $300
Install of lift = $500
BFG All Terrain TA KO 305/70/16 w/ American Racing 16*8" rims installed and aligned by my local tire shop = $1600.
Total cost = $2400.
If I wanted to regear to help with gas/power, it would cost about $900, bringing total up to $3300, which still isn't bad. All of these prices were quoted for me so they're legit.
The only reason I didn't do it was because I might have to sell my truck. I plan this if I can take it to college however.

Lift it.
Maybe a new paint job.
Get some bad-ass tires.
Voila.

You can't EVER go wrong with subwoofers. Like seriously. Though I'm only a freshman in high school, I've already got my car(I'm stealing my sisters Toyota corrola s) and its got the upgraded sound system which comes with small subwoofers, but I'm gonna put better ones in>:]

Little bigger tires, black rims, a little lift... after all it is only a 4x2.
