Yesterday I told my mom about me getting raped. She was really awesome about it. I gave her a card for my friend's therapist who she's been seeing for the last 10 years. My mom told me shed make sure our insurance with cover it and set up an appointment. It was really freeing to tell her. I also told her about my cutting too. She was so awesome about everything.

That is really very brave of you to tell your mom about all of that. I am glad that she handled it well and that she is helping you to get help. You should be proud of yourself for opening up to her about that, I am sure it wasn't easy. I hope that everything works out with that therapist. Good on you dude! I was molested the week after school ended for me when I was 15 by a family friend and I found it surprisingly easy to come to her (she's a single parent) to help. I can tell you that it's going to be tough as hell to NOT go through any flashbacks or to not relive some moments, but what you did was a huge step in the right direction. :)

thanks for the support everyone. I'm working on setting up an appointment with her and I'm still talking to the pastor at my church. I actually feel a lot better not that I'm talking about it more but it's still really hard to think about.
