I was thinking of making it so that a thread would automatically close 2 months after the last post. Its irritating to keep posting, and then be warned about bumping old threads. Also, it would be nice to have a way of knowing whether or not you already posted on a thread.

That wouldn't work because if OP wants to bump their thread, they can. Just don't post in threads that haven't been posted in for 2 months or more, it's not really that difficult.

To see if you've already posted in a thread or not, just go to the most recent pages, press Ctrl + F, and type in your username.

And OP: As Beth said, sometimes the OP may want to bump his/her own thread, and that is allowed.

And the word "several" usually refers to more than two ideas, but whatever.

Don't mean to be repetitive, but if a thread is 2 months or older, just don't post in it (even though there are some exceptions to that). Also, if you have posted in a thread, the icon next to thread will be altered. For example, on Forever Blue a thread you posted in will have this http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/images/styles/fblue/statusicon/thread_dot.gif next to it. If you haven't, the dot will not be there.
